I have itchy burning scalp with hair loss, nothing in

Customer Question

I have itchy burning scalp with hair loss
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Does anything in particular seem to make the itch better or worse?
Customer: nothing in particular, my hair stylist has been giving me deep conditioners, but nothing works. My hair will start to grow then all of sudden start falling and thinning out
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I've had perms, gheri curls, I've tried scalpicin and lately have been putting sulfer eight in my hair

Hello this is Dr. Salama MD,

Is the hair loss widespread or patchy?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
both acturally

For alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), intralesional corticosteroids are the only effective treatment which can restimulate hair growth.

I would recommend seeing a dermatologist who can administer this treatment.
