I have terrible red bags under my eyes that won't go away.

Customer Question

I have terrible red bags under my eyes that won't go away. Tried a six-day dose of steroids, have used hydrocortisone ointment, nothing has eliminated the problem. It subsides slightly but then returns. Very unsightly and can't be hidden with make up as it is wrinkly and dry...
JA: How long have you had the symptoms? What seems to make the symptoms worse or better?
Customer: Approximately three months. It started out just as itchy dry upper eye lids but that went away and now is not really the eye lids, mostly RED bags under the eyes. I don't know what makes it flare up - no new products or changes in my lifestyle
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have had issues with psoriasis/eczema but that seems to be under control...

Do you still have itching at the moment ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No it does not itch.
Expert:  Dr. Pravin replied 1 year ago.

It does look like a inflamed dry patch under the eye area.

This redness can reduce with the application of anti inflammatory like NON steroidal tacrolimus ointment on the area .

The other option is the apply Ivermectin gel on the area.

However , these creams will be available only by prescription .

If you are looking for a non prescription based medication to treat it , the best bet would be hylauronic acid based serum on the area that would provide intense moisturization.

Please do let me know if you have any further queries.

I would also recommend you to take Evening Primrose Oil once daily to reduce the inflammation.
