Today my daughter had an incision biopsy on her right lower

Customer Question

Hi, today my daughter had an incision biopsy on her right lower leg to remove a raised bump approx. 1/4" in diameter, that required some excavating and 7 stitches.
All has been fine, but she just noticed some odd whitening of the skin emanating from the wound with a reddish fringe around it. Everything we've read says to watch our for reddening and infection, but this is more like a very pale white color. Is this possibly a reaction, or rash, or her body doing something to heal the incision?
Is there a way I can send a photo?
