I have 4-5 small bumps on my scalp that at times itch a lot.

Customer Question

I have 4-5 small bumps on my scalp that at times itch a lot. This has been going on for several months and will not go away. I have tried several different shampoos, cortisone ointment, ice, pimple ointment, etc. to no avail. What is it and how do I get rid of it?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: I have not seen a doctor yet. I only take over the counter supplements. One a day vitamin, vit. D, omega 3, and calcium. In January I stopped taking estradiol .5mg after being on it several years. Could that have something to do with this condition?
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No, I am a healthy 67 year old.
