Welcome to Justanswer website.

Myself Dr Josh and I’m happy to help with your question today.

Well, this condition, is possibly a form of urticaria and in more detail called as angio-oedema.It mainly causes swelling of lips along with bumps.

Usually, it is related with Idiopathic Angioedema – as such, there is no known cause for the swelling (although certain factors, such as stress or infection, may trigger the symptoms).

The line of treatment for allergic and idiopathic angioedema is- Anti-histamines and Oral steroids.

You would need Antihistamines , These will settle or minimize the attacks, and the second generation ones such as Loratidine would be helpful. Also this condition respond better to a medication- Hydroxyzine HCl.(Atarax).

Along with this, Oral steroids should be given.

It has a good prognosis, with such medications.

Please see your doctor for clinical examination and get it managed.
