My nephew has a horrible itchy rash and doctors aren't

Customer Question

My nephew has a horrible itchy rash and doctors aren't exactly sure what it is. One said scabies and the other wasn't sure bc it's on his legs - back more than front, butt, upper arms but not feet or hands
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Does anything in particular seem to make the itch better or worse?
Customer: No - 3 days...the scabies cream didn't seem to do much. He has allergies but this isn't hives
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should be aware of?
Customer: He lives in NJ
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Doctor about your situation and then connect you two.

Scabies? Even though creams not helping, itching worse in day than at night and nothing on hands, feet?
Expert:  DrRussMd replied 1 year ago.

The cream can take up to a week to work.

If it is not working he needs to change.

Hopefully he is using a prescription form, not over the counter.

It does not have to be on the hands or feet.
