Customer Question

I had an odd patch of extremely dry (and sometimea itchy) skin pop up suddenly on the outside of my left hand where I would do a karate chop. It showed up when I was 3.5 months post partum and is still around now at 6 months pp...does that have anything to do with it? Nothing seems to help it heal- no aloe, no coconut oil, no vaseline. What can I do?

This is Dr. David

you should see a doctor or dermatologist about this

you could have psoriasis of your skin of the hand

you might need a prescriptions steroid cream to help calm down this skin inflammation.

it could be a skin fungal infection or eczema possibly.

would you like to upload a clear jpg photo of the area?

do you have a doctor you can see who can look at your hand? /
