Customer Question

My husband has had severe itching no rash for 6 months. He has been treated for scabies, eczema, we have tried steroid shots, benadryl shots, steroid pills and creams, benadryl pills and creams. I've changed his detergents body wash shampoos..I've added a water softener as we have hard water. I've cleaned my entire house. Top to bottom. It has gotten worse the last month and he is now often breaking out in sweats on top of itching constantly. I took him to the ER last night and demanded bloodwork. His neutrophils were slightly elevated 85% and lymphocyte % was 5.0 which I think is low. Is there bili was .2
Doctor says all this is normal. We had a pretty crappy doctor. Who didn't want to do anything but send us on our way. Now I'm at a loss.

has he had a thyroid hormone levels checked? abnormal thyroid hormone levels can cause skin itching

he could have psoriasis on his skin causing itching.

he should see a dermatologist and get a skin biopsy and see if he has psoriasis.
