Customer Question

The skin folds in my groin/butt area are whiteish, shiny and cracked. I'm leaving blood on my cycling shorts on both the left and right sides where my sit bones meet the saddle because of the cracked skin. Aside from that there's no real symptoms but I'd love to know what I've got.

Here are two photos of the worst (right) side. The trouble area in this photo is the very top of my thigh/lower butt, not *quite* in the groin area.

Was the area whitish before you put Sudocrem?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There's no sudocrem on it now, I stopped applying it nearly a week ago.

It seems to be abrasion with the saddle because of cycling. You should use antibiotic cream such as Neosporin and avoid cycling until it heals. Use a better saddle.

the whiteness/shinyness to the skin is nothing to be concerned about? I'm wearing padded cycling shorts

If the white is easily removed, it could be fungal infection. But If not, you don't need to be concerned about it.
