This looks very much like a contact dermatitis.

You can use over the counter Cortaid and Canestan cream on the area twice a day for 10 days and you can have over the counter Claritine tablet once at night for 10 days.

This will help in reducing the itching.

Did any lotion or any powder come in the contact with the area before this started?
