I am going to address your primary concern but later you can ask anything you want. In case of mole we are concerned about malignant melanoma or other skin cancers. These cancers are very aggressive and tend to recur very early. 6 months time is quite sufficient for these caners to recur. Since there is no recurrence, this is quite reassuring that no cancer is behind this. Tiny little freckle are of no clinical significance. I wish you and your son all the best for a good health.
