I have red bumps on my feet that itch. There are a few around my ankles as well

Dermadoc :

hello

Dermadoc :

these sound like u may have got some insect bites.

Dermadoc :

are there any fluid filled lesons?

Dermadoc :

they are on top of feet or on the sole?

Customer:

No fluid. I have had them for a few months, but they suddenly seem to be getting worse.

Customer:

They are on the top of my feet

Dermadoc :

ok

Customer:

I am a fitness instructor and sweat a lot so I thought they were from tht.

Customer:

that

Dermadoc :

these could have started with an insect bite and then persisted, prurigo mitis is what we call them.

Dermadoc :

sweating leads to folliculitis which is another possibility

Customer:

What can I put on them to make them to stop the itching and make them go away?

Dermadoc :

but mupirocin ointment would have taken care of it by now.

Dermadoc :

u need a strong cream like clobetasol propionate once a day for 2 weeks.

Customer:

I just put it on for the first time tonight

Dermadoc :

that will subside them

Customer:

Where can I get the Clobetasol?

Dermadoc :

u need to use it for 2 weeks.

Dermadoc :

u can get it from an online pharmacy if u find that feasible.

Customer:

What about at a CVS pharmacy? Do I need a prescription?

Dermadoc :

u will need a prescription from your local doctor.

Customer:

Ok. Do you think the Mupirocin will help?

Dermadoc :

no, i dont think so but if u continue it , it will make sure there is no bacterial infection adding to the bumps.

Dermadoc :

so u can mix clobetasol with mupirocin and apply

Customer:

Ok. I don't have insurance but will call the local clinic in the morning and see if they can help me. Thank you

Dermadoc :

welcome

Dermadoc :

please let me know if you have any queries.
