I have a small lump just above the cuticle on my thumb. It seems to swell with fluid causing discomfort, but it is not red or super sensitive. It hurts only when I apply pressure. What could it be and how can I get rid of it?

this can be a developing abscess called a periungual abscess. If this is the case, it will need to be drained. I would contact your healthcare provider.
