I have a blister outbreak on my forehead, never had one

This answer was rated:

I have a blister outbreak on my forehead, never had one before. I felt a burning, tingling sensation and within 12 hours I had blisters. I went to my doctor who believes it to be herpes, but how did it get on my forehead? I have no oral or genital symptoms, just these blisters on my forehead. I have had a MRSA infection before and my doctor has swabbed me for both MRSA and Herpes. Could this be a Shingles episode given the location? I am 35 year old male. Do Herpes intial outbreaks occur at the site of initial contact, meaning did my forehead come in contact with the virus??? Please advise

Most probably this is Herpes Zoster or Shingles, especially if you have blisters over a whole dermatome, like forehead, scalp, and side of upper face.

You should take antiviral medication immediately so that deep scars and postherpetic neurlagia are prevented.

Uncommonly, herpes simplex blisters can occur on the forehead also, but this will be only a small group of blisters and not as painful or burning as in shingles.
