I have a dark pigmented line across the bridge my nose. i

hi i have a dark pigmented line across the bridge my nose. i was told it was from pushing my nose upwards ( i do it when my nose itches, i have allergies) i was wondering if there was anything i could do to remove it

This is a common problem for people with nasal allergy, caused by pressure in the area leading to sebum accumulation beneath, which gets darkened on exposure to the atmospheric oxygen.

Here is what you should do:

  1. See an ENT surgeon and correct any nasal bony anomalies, if present.
  2. Take antiallergic medication regularly,a long acting antihistamine like Telfast 120 mg daily or alternate days at night for 1-2 months.
  3. Use Neutrogena acne face wash to wash the area twice daily.
  4. Apply Retin A (0.025%) cream at night.
  5. In the morning apply Dalacin T solution.

Continue for 3-4 months. If irritation occurs with Retin A, you can stop it for a few days, then restart again.Most people get good results, but take care not to bend the nose frequently .
