    I had the first stage of a root canal done on wednesday. My filling on the top of the tooth cracked and was causing me pain, so they did the first stage of a root canal on my first visit. They removed the nerve that was bothering me, but It's been hurting badly ever since and the pain is even worse today and it's sensitive even to air. I was just wondering if it could be infected or if this is normal and should go away (the gum does seem to look like a healthy shade of pink around the tooth though)?
    I got it done at UCLA dental school and since the cracked filling was really bothering me one of the instructors was able to fit me in for the first stage early, although I still have to wait a few more weeks for the second stage since she is very busy. I'm just in a lot of pain and I can't call them until monday morning.
