Thank you for the information.

Salty taste, burning sensation of the mouth can be caused by a few conditions.

Viral infection, cold is a common cause.

It can take time to resolve even after the viral infection improves.

Reflux is another common cause for burning tongue, salty taste in the mouth.

If you have reflux you can try to take antacid or nexium for a few days to check whether it helps.

It may result from a mouth infection like yeast or gum infections, sinus infection, allergy etc.

Dehydration, vitamin and mineral deficiencies can have role.

You should take bland soft diet till the symptoms improve.

From systemic or general causes diabetes, hypothyroidism, Sjogren's disease, dry mouth, neurological disorders may cause it.

As it is going on you need to be checked by doctor again.

Prescription antifungal medicine, steroid can help in these cases.

You can try to take some home measures.

Yogurt with lactobacilli can help to reduce the symptoms.

Fresh boiled vegetables & fruits can help to correct vitamin deficiency.

Pl try to take adequate fluid, vitamins supplement till you see doctor.
