Hi, what you are describing is called Linea Alba and is caused by trauma from biting and chewing. Similar to a callous on your skin. It is really just keratinized (thicker) tissue which occurs from excessive biting and scraping of the inner cheek from your teeth when you are eating or chewing. It is not serious and is nothing to worry about. I would suggest that you just call your dentist and have him check your occlusion and biting forces to be sure that all the teeth and fillings are properly contoured and are not excessively rubbing your inner cheek. No treatment is needed for this white line. Hope this helps. If you need more information about this issue please do not hesitate to ask. A positive rating for our conversation is how I get credit for responding. Thanks.
