Hello there,

If your tooth is sore and you have swollen lymph nodes it is likely you have a dental infection. It may be the gums (gingiva) or a residual abscess of the tooth. But an infection requiring is likely, based on your description. I would recommend calling a dentist for a consult and antibiotics before the issue worsens, and treatment planning. Unfortunately, your issue will likely worsen without this.

Please let me know if you need additional information to answer your question. Otherwise I would appreciate a positive rating for my effort.

Be well,

Dr Shernan.
