Thanks for putting up your question on Just Answer.
Im assuming you need to temporarily glue your crown back on till you can get to a dentist.
Try  "Dentemp" . It is a traditional dental combination of zinc oxide and eugenol (clove oil) mixed when needed to  re-cement a cap or a bridge. It's strong enough that you'll need to have a dentist remove it later.

i got some dentek at cvs but it soft and don't harden is this the wrong thing

You mean you got Dentemp? Yes it wont harden completely outside the crown. It will harden eventually inside the crown once its in place.
