Hi, I am here to help you.
If bleeding is well controlled, you may brush your teeth carefully and but do not rinse the night of surgery. Swishing can cause bleeding.
The day after surgery you should begin brushing your teeth at least twice a day using a soft bristle tooth brush and tooth paste, and rinsing at least 5-6 times a day especially after eating. Rinse with a cup of warm water mixed with a half teaspoon of salt.
I hope this helps!!

Expert:  Dr. Mariana replied 5 years ago.
you can eat cereal and soy milk. You might want to avoid any foods that are spicy or hard to chew for a few days. Also, Do not such through a straw the first day. That can also stimulate bleeding
Hope this helps!
