Skin and tissue infections are indicated by swelling, pain and redness or erthyemia.
If you are not having any pain in the area, and there is a bit of superficial yellow sloughy tissue that is not usually a problem. Continue with the salt water rinses and monitor of an increased pain or swelling or redness.
