Best way to remove tobacco stains from the tongue is good old fashion tongue brushing. What has happened is the papillae on the tongue (which is normally pinkish-white) grows and lengthens. And the fibrous tissue can absorb and pick up stains in the mouth. And the tar from tobacco use gets picked up by the papillae overgrowth and stain the tongue over time.

So the best way to remove the staining is consistent tongue brushing/scraping (and also to stop using tobacco). You should be able to find a tongue scraper, usually a plastic instrument, at your local pharmacy and use it daily. Brushing your tongue will also help.
