If you failed to pay your court fees generally that would result in a warrant. Because warrants never expire, you could expect this to still turn up on a background check, in which case it will likely cost you the job.

The best way to handle this is to take care of this before you have to be printed for this job. Call the court where your case was and speak to the clerk. He can tell you if there's a warrant and what the fee would be. He may even be able to take your payment to get this whole thing behind you. If not, you'd have to see the judge who will lift the warrant and then let you pay the court costs.
