Good morning. What is the basis for which you missed court? Why did you need to appear in court?

Thank you. If you were in rehab and that is the reason for missing court, the judge and your PO should understand and not violate you and should lift any active warrant. You should get documentation to show them that your failure to appear was not intentional and that you were getting help and treatment and could not leave. As long as you can document this it should avoid any jail

Did you forget about the court date?

If you missed court a warrant was likely issued and if so your P.O. may take you into custody today. You would need to explain what happened and convince them that this was an accident and you did not intentionally fail to appear.

Should I call before going in and tell her my situation of what happened that I missed court and ask her what she thinks might happen when I go in
Criminal Lawyer: CrimDefense, CriminalDefenseAtty replied 1 month ago

You can certainly try but she may not tell you, as if she does and says there is a warrant, you may not appear, so she may just tell you to come in. Please let me know if you have any follow up questions or need any clarification on something which I stated above. Also, remember to rate my service at the top of this page, before exiting the site, so I can receive credit for my help. I hope you found it to be 5 STARS! Only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. If you feel the need to click either of the two lower ratings to the left, please stop and reply to me. I want to make sure your experience with the site was as pleasurable as possible and that you are satisfied with the help I provided.
