I got a dwi felony in Texas and Louisiana the same month when I was 27. I'm now 41 married with two kids. I'm thinking of moving up there and I'm wondering the gun laws w ould be for me up there.

Unfortunately, a felony conviction prohibits you from possessing any type of gun or ammunition under federal law, not just state law, so any state you move to will have the same restrictions on gun ownership.

I'm sorry I can't give you better news, but unfortunately the federal law follows you wherever you go, in this country anyway.
