Brother appeared before NY state parole board in Jan 2012.

Customer Question

Brother appeared before NY state parole board in Jan 2012. Was denied parole, he filed article 78 immediately stating a COMPAS risk assessment wasn't performed, judge granted him a de novo hearing in late 2013, parole board grants him his de novo parole hearing in Feb. 2014 (2 yrs 1 months after his Jan 2012 appearance). In Feb 2014 hearing Parole judge clearly states that they are considering this his first appearance. Was granted CPDO (deportation) effective 2/18/14. Was processed and cleared by ICE. March 2014 Parole board ruled that they had made a clerical error and the CPDO was only good from Jan 2012 to Jan 2014. Again, his hearing was granted in Feb 2014 and in that hearing it was stated that this was considered to be his first appearance. He has appealed that decison, it took then 6 months to respond and now he has 10 days to answer. we need a lawyer
