In general, a traffic violation would not cost a person his gun rights, but there's a difference between having your second Amendment rights, which is Consitutional, and getting a gun permit, which is discretionary and up to the state police.

What is the traffic matter you are concerned about and have you been denied a permit, or is this just hypothetical?
