My 33 year old son is in a California Prison until 2018. He was told that he has to have a liver transplant. But because he is a prisoner he is not eligible.

I'm very sorry to hear about your son.

When you say he's told he's not eligible for a transplant, who is it that has told you this? Is it that the prison won't allow it or that he cannot get on a donor list as a prisoner? What is his prognosis without the transplant? What is he in prison for?
