is a first time DWi defined as a criminal offense when responding on a medical license application if you were ever convicted or plead guilty to a criminal offense?
Hello. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be glad to help you.

Yes. Conviction of any DWI would be considered a conviction of the criminal offense and would have to be disclosed on any application for a medical license.

I wish you the best of luck!

So is a DWI considered a criminal offense. Only from a nieve perspective and lack of knowledge of legal terms I would think a DWI would be a civil offense or traffic violation but not a criminal offense. Obviously DWI is illegal but but i wasnt thinking it was criminal, but i guess I dont really know what the legal definition of criminal is

Thank you for your follow up.

DWI is a criminal offense in all 50 states and as such, can either be a misdemeanor or a felony.

I wish you the best of luck!
