Good evening. I certainly understand the situation and your concern. This is a summary offense and it is something that would appear on the background check. It will list the offense, disposition of the case and the year it took place. They will see she plead guilty and that the case has been closed for 3 years and she has not been in any other trouble since. Even if this appears, it is minor in nature and should not be something that disqualifies her from the position. If she had a record for theft, a crime of dishonesty or a violent crime, it would be a different story. Here, she is qualified for the job and they understand she was a minor at a time and made a mistake. Moreover, on the application itself, it likely asked and she would have needed to disclose this, so they should already be aware and would not have offered her the job, if it was a concern. After 5 years, she can also proceed to have this expunged from her record, to prevent future employers from seeing it, as well.
