No, it is not. It's not a crime for an adult and a minor simply to text one another, first of all.

The "sexting" is not otherwise considered an online solicitation of a minor, and therefore not a crime, because the person that is being communicated with is 17. If the individual were under 17, then the 22 year old could definitely get in trouble for that, however.
