I was wondering if I was reported to the police for something but they didn't take action, would that show up on a background check?

Good afternoon,

I'm sorry to hear of the confusion.

No, it would not appear in a criminal background check. The only things that appear in those background checks are arrest records, charges filed against you by the district attorney with the court and criminal convictions.

The fact that someone reported you, by itself, will not show up on your background check.

I hope that you found my answer informative, that you are accepting of my efforts and that you will rate my efforts based on the knowledge I have provided to you.

I wish you the best in 2012.

Thank you.
