In GA, felony Interference with Government Property is typically charged as a felony and can result in a sentence of 1 to 5 years in prison. Presuming that was your first offense, you were likely sentenced to a year or two and suspended pending satisfactory completion of your probation.

The possession case is not all that big a deal, and is a misdemeanor with a fine of typically $500 to $1,000 and up to a year in jail. But few folks are ever jailed for it first offense.

It is possible that you can avoid being offended to jail on this offense. Fortunately, as the charge is pot and a misdemeanor to begin with, you may be eligible for drug court in Chatham County. It is a 2 year program where you have to go to classes and be drug tested fairly regularly---but if you complete the program, you can generally have the drug charge dismissed.

I urge you to speak with a local Criminal Defense attorney about getting into the program. If you can do so, you will likely avoid any jail time and perhaps your probation on the felony will be lengthened---but you can avoid jail.
