I have a 4 year old warrant that I did not know about until
I have a 4 year old warrant that I did not know about until yesterday. I went to the MVA to renew my license, and was arrested on the charges of Burglary - 4th degree(3y), Theft less than 100(90 Days), and Destruction of property value 1,000(60 Days). I have never been in trouble with the law before, and I have never been arrested prior to this. I was released this morning because the Commissioner my charges was bit an offense for which the maximum penalty is life imprisonment or death. I was deemed not a threat to society. I am being accused of breaking and entering a Vacant home on April 12th of 2014. I am being held as a suspect because my ex boyfriend Desmond Govan has a record of Burglary and other crimes. Also, my Identification card and purse was found in the home, and a long with other female items. During that time I did go into the hospital for surgery because I had severe appendicitis. I did give Desmond Govan my ID and purse and a long with Biohazard bag that contain my jewelry and other items I had to remove during my surgery. I gave the items to him to place in my storage that I had at the time in Elkridge, MD. It says on my charging documents that 2 or so neighbors reported a party and that one neighbor entered the house with the same description of finding and/or seeing two males on the premises. There is no indication of me ever being seen at this place BECAUSE I WAS NOT AT THIS PLACE AT ANYTIME. However, there was a girl there at the party by the name of Tatyana Williams(whom my ex and I mutual known from work and mutual friends)she gave the officer a completely different last name and told her that she was visiting her friend Shikera Johnson and her Boyfriend Desmond. Again, I was not at this location because I was still feeling ill after my surgery and my relationship with Desmond was pretty much over. He was very controlling and and conniving. I was young and naive and thought I was in love, but I realize he was horrible individual and wanted nothing else to do with him. He did confirm with me on the 10th or 11th that he did take my belongings to my storage unit. However, this report is saying otherwise. On the 12th I was with my family and friends at my bestfriend's home when all of this was reported. The other female items found (brushes make-up feminine hygiene products, and etc. did not belong to me. While I was in the hospital he was instructed to bring my school back pack and small luggage bag that had clothing in it to my storage. This is not in the report, but the items that are trying to be attached to me does not match anything I gave him except my purse, ID, and bio-hazard bag. Again, there was a party reported and large crowd of people reported being seen that night by the neighbors and the police and but they were not stopped nor questioned. Two neighbors reported seeing two males. One mutual friend was already identified as the male. They also found 1 white iphone(later in the report matched up as the friends) 1 black iphone, and one samsung phone. I did not have a phone at the time, and the samsung which no one knows is Desmonds. Throughout the rest of the report marjority of the items found had my ex boyfriend's name or belong to him. The master key was apparently missing and that is why i am being accused of theft, but in one officer's report it says the neighbor tried to open the box with the master key in it and could not...The destruction of property because there was three small holes in the wall in a storage room. Again, it says in the report that they ran my ex boyfriend's criminal history and there is a long list of similar crimes. I was a High school student at the time whom was going through domestic abuse at home and just trying to make it through senior year. I met Desmond at Chipotle where all of our mutual friends work. He came to me when I was at my lowest and giving up on life. He presented himself to be genuine caring person, and he turned out to be an absolute monster. La … read more
