If I am convicted of CA PC 242 and prohibited from owning firearms,

Resolved Question:

If I am convicted of CA PC 242 and prohibited from owning firearms, how does this effect other persons living in my household who also own firearms?

Thank you for your question.

If you are prohibited from owning firearms pursuant to CA PC 242, there can be no one else in your household who can own firearms or else you will be in violation. All weapons will have to be kept off the property or else you could be prosecuted. The smart move would be to find somewhere else to store the guns. Otherwise, you could face potential jail time.
