Resolved Question:

I was arrested for DUI last night in Chester County, PA. I was booked and released. Is that a good thing? They also didn't provide be with any of the test results. I was told I would be getting a complaint in the mail in the next 2-3 weeks. Can I read anything into this or is this typical for certain types of cases.

that is typical. test results will only be released to your attorney. the penalties include license suspension, fines, community service and mandatory education for a first offender.

you will get the complaint in the mail and it will have a court date. you also need to file for a civil hearing about your driver's license. that can be suspended for up to 90 days.
