Customer Question

when a judge give you a bond in court and the lawyer tell the D.A. he think that it is to high so the D.A. say he will ask the judge to lower it. But a day later now they are saying that it went up, is that right or is that legal.

DearCustomer- The bond is set at the discretion of the court by the judge. The defense attorney and DA are permitted to be heard as to their recommendations however the final decision rests with the judge. There is noting illegal in raising a bond amount. The defense attorney can appeal this to the court but judges are given wide discretion in setting bond.

why would he go up without a cause

Obviously I have no way to know that from this website. You would have to ask the defense attorney to obtain an explanation from the court.
