well, chances are his probation is going to be terminated - and he will be faced with misdemeanors - it is possible that he would be placed in a juvenile detention facility. if he is real close to age 18 and they decide to charge him as an adult, he could do jail time. while charging as an adult is usually reserved for violent crimes - when a minor becomes so incorrigible and/or obstinate so as to thumb their nose at a judge - the DA does tend to get a little tougher
yes a local lawyer is really going to be necessary this time - since he kinda just told the judge to shove it - perhaps, when you talk to the lawyer see if there is a possibility of some type of substance abuse treatment that he can enroll in or mental health therapy something, anything that would let the judge know that you all recognize there is an obvious problem and you are trying to work through it and enrolling him in a program shows an effort of good faith -
