Customer Question

I have a jealous husband who works in law enforcement & thinks I''m cheating. He states his department has a new program where they can type in phone numbers and receive a list of call history back. Can he do this to me without having good cause/warrant/permission?

I would not be surprised that he has access like this at work, however, it is illegal to search through someones records without probable cause or a warrant. This would be the same as somone breaking into your house to read your phone bills.

At the same time just because it is illegal does not mean your husband or one of his work buddies will search this information.

Sorry for the delay! So a subpoena or affidavit would not be required for him to do this? If he does this and I have proof he's done so, what are my legal options?
