Customer Question

After a person has been charged with a crime and posted bail, is it possible for those who placed him there to add on any additional charges?

Unfortunately just because he is arrested on one charge, arraigned and bail posted...the DA can gather evidence of an unrelated charge or an additional charge(s) arising from the original incident. If there is probable cause, he an be arrested on new charges, arraigned and bail revisited....possible increase.

Reply to rvlaw's Post: He is a first offense Class B Misdemeanor theft of >50 but <500. Could this case really get that nasty?

That's not so bad....probably plead out to a lesser charge if no prior record. What is the suspected second charge?
