Hello, my name is Anthony...

Hello, my name is Anthony *** I am from Texas. I purchased a vehicle and I put $5000 down payment. I made the first months payment the second month I was 25 days late. My car was repossessed. I was served with a paper stating for me to sign and surrender the vehicle or my other option would be to send a notification of objection and I had 20 days to do so. I sent him the letter of notification of objection and went and delivered it myself to the dealership. A week later he had my vehicle back on the lot and sold it for the same price he sold it to me for the contract states, he cannot repossess the vehicle until it’s been four months. All he could do was send me a late fee for the first four months but instead he repossessed it after two months now my understanding is after he sold it the difference between what he sold it for, and what I owed on it was a was a surplus that actually equity do belong to me. He did not provide me with any money any phone calls and did not have any contact with me up until now and it’s Ben over a year. How much would a lawsuit like this for a breach of contract be worth in your opinion

Thank you; so the damages for a wrongful repo can be quite extensive; it can include actual damage (any money lost on the vehicle due to the repo), other damages (rental car fees), legal fees as well (and that can vary greatly depending on cost of filing suit).
