Yes, my wife and I purchased a brand new Mercedes in January. We were told we were financed through Mercedes Financial. After almost two months of not receiving anything in the mail and trying to set up an online account with Mercedes nothing happens. Worried our first loan payment would be late, we went to the dealership. They proceed to tell us that the loan was funded by Bank of America. We go to a local branch where they cannot find us in their system, we call the auto loan department and they state that they do not own the car. They approved the loan conditionally and the dealership somehow rejected their approval. We verify with a friend who has a dealership that the car indeed has a lien with Bank of America. We go back to the dealership and the finance manager is on the phone with Bank of America. He states that the loan on his end shows funded, but it is not. Bank of America says they never funded the car. So now we have a car that has no bank. We want to sell the car back to the dealership as we put $24,000 down. Even if they run our credit again, which we do not want, we cannot get approved again as we purchased another vehicle and our debt to income is higher.
