Yesterday my wife and I bought a new car at the dealership

Customer Question

Yesterday my wife and I bought a new car at the dealership put down $200 deposit on a credit card and signed the contract. Now we don't want the car can we cancel the contract? On the back of the contract it states the seller shall be entitled to keep your deposit money as liquidated damages or sue you for the actual damages we suffer at our option. This car is still on the website for sale and I verified the stock #. We live in New York state. Thank you Jeremy
JA: What state is this in? And how old is the car?
Customer: New York State. Brand new 2016
JA: Are we your first resource? And has anything been filed in court?
Customer: Yes and no. no action taken yet. We haven't even talked to the dealer about this yet.
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Did you take possession of the car? Did you receive financing? Did it disburse?
