Customer Question

Re: my original question...the CU is saying the account has to be open to keep my auto loan, in other words, I have to be a creddit union member--meaning have an account. It is the car loan that is the issue. Can they demand I have an account to keep the loan? That's one big issue

If it were just an account it would be simple to close. It's the car loan that's the issue

Oh, I see.

Yes, you have to have an account to maintain your CU membership. The bank can easily open another account for you and link it to the auto loan while getting rid off the payday loan withdrawals.
