Customer Question

My brother signed papers on a used car late Saturday evening without giving the dealer ship his tradin truck & title for it. They let him drive home with the newly signed for car. The dealer was closed on Sunday. He realized he can not afford the car.Today is the next Monday. Can he return the car he drove home with and cancel the sale since he has not given his tradein title or truck? (Bought in TN)

Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I am a licensed attorney who will try my very best to help with your situation or get you to someone who can. There may be a slight delay in my responses as I research statutes or ordinances and type out an answer or reply, but rest assured, I am working on your question.

.

Did he actually sign a purchase contract for the vehicle?

.

Is there anything in the contract that states that he has a "right of rescission"?

.

Was the trade in part of the deal for the purchase price?

.

.

thanks
