Customer Question

What is needed on the sale of a vehicle with private parties. We had the paperwork notarized but there is no VIN or odometer reading. Is it still binding? This takes place in Virginia.

The contract is still binding, the "material" terms (product being purchased, amount of purchase, parties to the agreement) are all undisputed, and the signatures were even witnessed.

The fact that these were omitted is not going to be a basis for either party to rescind the contract.
