I'll try to be short and direct. Ca laws
I lived in a mobile home park and owned my home free and clear.
City decides to close it.
HOA sues city for settlement.
City settles personal injury case from HOA.
HOA attorneys "lose" my paperwork. I get no money.
I find out City doing illegal activities and has dangerous chemicals/hazards in park.
I report it to Feds. City finds outs and goes after me/family.
City moves Neo Nazis next to my home who harm us and city tries to evict me.
HOA states in letter we are excellent tenants.
City tries again to evict us based on "electrical wire" 80 other homes have same wire. They are not harmed by city.
We hire L Aid. We don't realize LL attorney is paid by city and close friends with city attorney.
We remove wire but home is now uninhabitable.
City still evicts us based on wire.
We appeal but lose. We find out LL attorney wrote briefs incorrectly and never told us of court dates.
City pays 96k in taxpayer funds to evict us.
City settles with HOA for resettlement payments tor residents and puts lien on ours. We are awarded 40k.
I file BK under duress to escape huge debt from city. I have no other debt.
City demands money.
Trustee won't help me and hires attorney to help him from my settlement.
I have no other assets.
I have no criminal, drug,alcohol history.
We did nothing wrong and lost our home and money and health.
Any ideas as to where to go from here?

Once you lost your case in court, you had to appeal the loss and go to the appeals court. If your attorney never did that and never informed you of dates or anything about the case and incorrectly filed, then the attorney can be liable to you for your losses in a malpractice suit. If you missed your time to appeal, which was 60 days from judgment in most cases, then you have to sue the attorney for malpractice for their handling of the case. You have 4 years from the date the attorney committed the malpractice to sue the attorney for the damages his negligence caused you.
