Is it illegal to cash a check business client of a bank

In July of this year, a business client came into the branch to make a couple deposits and withdraws. Now he came at different times and different days, so another associate dealt with him, Mike Samuels, who also got terminated. I can’t speak for his interaction but I will speak regarding mine. The Over-the-Counter withdraws I performed for the co-owner of the business did not lead to a negative balance. His ID was checked and verified. What started the issue was a Chase Check in the amount of $4200. That particular check came back NSF because the client withdrew the funds before our back office ran the check. I know because I called Chase Bank in Chicago where the account was opened and verified the funds by their Branch Manager named Theresa (Forgot her last Name) before I cashed the Not-On-Us Check. I was doing this as a courtesy, always trying to live our value of “Client First”. After that, all the bad checks the client wrote started to hit the account. We had no way of knowing that other checks where floating out there. I can only speculate that the client moved the funds from Chase in some way or fashion, by online banking transfer, wire, ATM withdraw, etc., before we ran the check overnight.I would like to add that it was stated that Jevon Brun, my branch manager, was listed as a witness. This a falsification of company records. It is impossible for Jevon Brun to have been a witness because Jevon was simply not there. Jevon was pressured by upper management to include that, for they implicated indirectly that if he didn't he would lose his job. According to Georgia Law, that opens the door to a wrongful termination suit. Once I confronted the HR agent with this information, she admitted that she was aware that their is no way Jevon could be a witness and that they were going to "fix" that. I was like, so you mean to tell me you fire me with false information and now you want to back track and change it? I need legal help bad.Under Georgia Law, the statute states the same. Because according to my offer letter, my employment is governed under Georgia Law.
