I beleive I may have just been scammed by a company called "card member services" who claimed they will lower the rates on my credit cards. I hve been under termendous stress and know better, but I think they got me. What do I do now.
Hello, I will be assisting you.

Can you list what information did you provide to them? Did you pay them? Did you provide payment information?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Igave them two credit card numbers.

I must call up the credit card company immediately and put a fraud alert on those cards! The credit card company will most likely send you new cards with new numbers.

Also ask the credit card company if there have been any unrecognized charges. If there are any unrecognized charges, then you should either dispute them or ask the credit card company to treat them as fraudulent charges.

The good news is that since you did not give them your social security number or your bank account information then the damages generally caused in such cases are typically limited!
